Established 1946, Bolton Carpets and upholstery main activities in those days was working for the Cunard shipping lines . When in dock we would go onto the ships and clean all the carpets and upholstery prior to the ships going back out to sea.

Over the years members of the public and loss adjusting companies began to use Bolton Carpets and upholstery mainly due to the fact that Bolton Carpets and upholstery had the facilities and the knowledge to uplift wet carpets , dry them , clean them and re fit them. It was a natural progression in the fifties and sixties that Bolton Carpets and upholstery started to deal with all contents and as such employed specialists to deal with re upholstery , and French polishing , following floods and full house fires where clients needed alternative accommodation, Loss Adjusters began to request we remove all contents and restore whatever we could. This allowed builders to attend to reinstatement works in the properties and on completion we would re fit carpets or supply and fit new if needed ,then deliver back all the restored goods.

Our reputation grew and we were approached by Insurers direct to undertake works on their behalf, and in addition install drying equipment to dry the properties before building works began, our reputation and knowledge led us to become founders of the BDMA

Having a proven track record of being able to diversify, the generic move to become a one stop company who could deal with all aspects of a Insurance claim when properties had suffered flood, fire, impact or perhaps some accidental damage or trauma incident , the final piece of the jigsaw was to have a building division and in 1992 , the more appropriate name of Heightvale was introduced.

Our company has continued to grow, along with our reputation , we have expanded into commercial works and have a considerable and varied customer base.
We have applied the same principles to everything we do , we listen , we act , we communicate . These principles have led to many awards within the Insurance industry and the private business sector . Trading now for over 60 years we will continue to strive and improve, we will never assume that over 60 years trading means we have reached a pinnacle and we will treat every job and every customer with ultimate attention and respect.
